Are quesadillas authentic Mexican food? 10 points?

Im need to make a video of me cooking authentic Mexican food, and I was thinking about quesadillas. Are they authentic?

YES!!! The thing that people don’t realize is that quesadillas are simply a tortilla with cheese! Anything else added(except for peppers or a little meat) makes them tex-mex.

    No quesadillas are Tex-Mex. They originated in the San Antonio, Tx. area. Depending on the area of Mexico you are trying to depict your cooking from, there is a wide range of food items. "Authentic" Mexican food can range from stone ground corn (to make meal for tacos) to a five star rated dinner of Gulf Seafood. When I was in Monterrey, I loved the grouper and lobster dinner served to me……..and yes they are authentic Mexican meals cooked be authentic Mexicans!!!
