I never cook, and always eat out at someplace or other. I have enough money to spend to eat out almost anywhere every day, so thats not an issue.
Just wanted to know what would be a good diet in these terms? Some places include Subway, Mexican Food, Chinese Food, Pizza / Pasta, Wawa, Thai Food, Japanese Food, Italian. What would be the most healthy combination of foods to eat?
anything with plenty of fiber and protein and only good fats.
egs:
salad
soup
sandwich w/whole GRAIN bread- wheat is just white died brown
cut out mexican- weight gain is to be expected there
chinese- too much MSG- if u must, steamed veggies w/any type of fish or chicken and BROWN rice
japanse is good- avoid too much rice and ask for low sodium soy sauce
italian- almost all carbs, u will gain weight there too, although it is better than mexican (of course u can ask for no pasta and extra veggies- i recommend this everywhere u go- veggies should take up HALF your plate)
good luck hun!
I’m going out with my friends tonight for Cinco de Mayo. I want to enjoy myself but still be careful with what I eat. I doubt that there are many HEALTHY Mexican food options, but what are the healthier ones? Let’s try to skip on some calories when we can!
Of course I should keep away from anything too cheesy or anything fried. What would you recommend to order? I think that even if I got chciken fajitas, which are grilled, the calories would still be high!

Any suggestions?!
I would say get the grilled chicken fajitas, but ditch the tortillas. Have the chicken with grilled onions and peppers. Could be good! = )
i have to go eat out tomorrow at a mexican food restaurant for breakfast with friends..what are the healthiest options?
Huevos Rancheros or a Breakfast Burrito.
No cheese, chips, or chorizo.
Im going out for dinner at a mexican restuant for my best friends birthday, i have been to the place before and had the salad and hated it and i rarely eat mexican food, whats the healthiest pick?
Chicken Fajitas can be good for you because of the variety of foods contained in them…but you can always ask for a to-go box and split the meal up before you even start eating it, so you’re not tempted to eat the entire thing. Everything in moderation is fine to eat…just watch out for those tortilla chips that come before the meal–those things can catch up to you pretty quickly!
it seems to help when I have a cold or the like. But in general what are the health benefits of eating hot and or spicy foods? Like mexican food and using hot sauce, jalapenos, etc. I can see how it can give someone heartburn too. So what are the pros and cons of eating it.?
Spicy food is good only if you keep bad oils out of it..
eat, please tell me if the type of food i eat during the week would be on the healthy or not, what type of food is healthy
I eat: Ceviche ( raw shrimp cooked in lemon) once a week, oysters, cooked fish, drink ONE soda a day, rice , beans, cereal, milk, carne asada, sushi, Mexican food mainly,
Eating healthily is basically eating a balanced diet, so aslong as you’re getting your average amounts of each food group, you’re okay! & you sound like you’re eating very healthily atm.
You could maybe eat more fruit & veg.
For example Authentic versus Chipotle or Baja Fresh etc (no fastfood; taco bell)
Authentic is healthier. Americanized Mexican cuisine uses much more cheese, sour cream and meat.
I’ve only spent several weeks at a time in Mexico, but the food I ate there was much lighter, with much more vegetables than you would get in a restaurant like Chipotle.
I LOVE mexican food! So I’m going out to a Mexican restraunt today and I’m not quite sure what to order to stay healhy. I usually skip the chips, and order a taco salad with chicken instead of beef, no sour cream, guacamole, or cheese and then I don’t eat the shell.
I feel like its kind of a waste of money because I hardly eat any of eat. Any healthier alternitives? I’m kinda hesitant to order any fajtias or chicken tacos because I know tortillas run high in calories and carbs. So any tips would help!
Thanks!
How about fajitas without the tortillas? Ask if they cook the beans in lard.
wat is the healthiest, lowest grease, lowest calorie mexican food?
Chicken fajitas without the tortilla are the best thing to get. Use sour cream sparingly, if at all. Just toss it all together like a fajita salad.
