I mean i am not fat but the place is delicious…someone help

As long as you eat in moderation . . . and in reasonable variety . . . there’s nothing wrong with eating a lot of Mexican food. I suspect, for example, that Mexicans do it all the time!

Does the Mexican Grille, El Patron have healthy food?

Im trying to go on a diet to lose a few pounds. I’m thinking that if i can eat low calorie foods throughout the week, I can get away with eating at that restaurant once every seven days. I’m asking this for wrestling. I’ve only been over 3 pounds.

no mexican restaurant has healthy food

Whats healthier, mexican food or sushi?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Healthy Mexican Food

I know that either way both aren’t that healthy, but once in a while, you know!
Thanks for the help

Mexican food is too broad of a term to compare to sushi. For example, if the ‘mexican food’ you are talking about is a single chicken soft taco with salsa/lettuce and the eight pieces sushi contains avocado and some sweet mayo-based sauce, the mexican food is healthier.

However, considering the most common mexican foods and the most common types of sushi, the sushi is definitely healthier. Where did you hear that sushi isn’t healthy? As long as you don’t add a lot of soy sauce to your sushi, and it isn’t topped with a lot of sweet sauce, sushi is one of the healthiest foods you can eat.

Sushi is also healthier considering the portion sizes compared to a mexican restaurant. Most mexican restaurants give you almost unlimited chips and salsa to eat before they bring out a huge plate of whatever you ordered. Sushi on the other hand, is generally served in 6-8 small pieces.

Portion control is just as important as controlling the amount of fat and nutrients you eat.

If you eat a healthy balanced diet most of the time, eating one meal of any type of food won’t hurt.

Healthy Mexican food?

I’m loosing weight & going to a new Mexican restaurant tonight and was wondering which of these is the healthiest choice? I’m Vegetarian BTW
I know the place has corn tortillas, I read they are healthier, should I try to substuite the flower?

Veggie Quesadilla
Spanish onions, green peppers, mushrooms, & fresh diced tomatoes in a grilled flower tortilla with Monterey Jack & Rosas red sauce.

Veg Fajitas
Served on a sizzling platter with margarita spanish onions, green peppers, warm flower tortillas, crispy shreded lettuce, Pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded monterey jack, fiesta rice & santa fe beans.

Veg Burritos
Hand rolled and baked in a large flower tortilla, served with santa fe beans & fiesta rice.Premium seasonal vegetables, santa fe beans, & tomatillo sauce. Topped with monterey jack and red sauce.

Veg Chilli
Served with warm flower tortillas, crispy corn chips or garlic bread. 8oz bowl Chunks of fresh garden vegetables in a rich tomato based mexican style stew

lettuce, black beans, salsa, and whatever’s not meat and not fattening. It’s not hard to tell. I’d say the Veggie Quesadilla is best.

The main thing to remember is use moderation and control.

how can i cook healthy without making the food flavorless?

i love to cook.Specialy Mexican food.Im pretty healthy, and in good shape, but i would love to make spice up my food..not as in hot spicy, but just add more flavores…healthy. How can i make some healthy mexican dishes.thanx
what are some spices,and herbs

Use more spices and less salt. You may want to try different kinds of pepper: jalapeƱos, chipotles, etc. (you can make them less "hot" by removing the seeds and ribs – the white part of the inside of the pepper), and dried spices like cumin (smoky), cayenne (peppery). Use lots of onions, escallions, and fresh herbs like cilantro. Whatever you do, use less salt!

I’m on a diet and we are getting ready to go out to an authentic Mexican Restaraunt. What would be considered semi-healthy? What about a chicken quesadilla with no cheese and just salsa? Or something along those lines?

Bean and rice are healthy. Stay away from red meat (carne asada, for example), and stick with chicken. Guacamole, while good for you, is fattening. Any of the salsas should be good for you; tomatoes and onions. Unless you know the cheese is low-fat, I would avoid it.

Know any Healthy Mexican/El Salvadorian Food?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Healthy Mexican Food

It’s for my health project.
I was wondering if anyone knew of
HEALTHY mexican or el salvadorian food?
Or it can just be spanish food :D haha.
But I must know the Number of Calories
And how much fat it is in there . :)
Thank you for anyone who helps
its greatly appreiciated! (:
Uhm.. Does anyone know how many Calories are in Gazpacho and how many grams of fat are in there?

I have no idea of the calories, but ceviche is very low fat. It is just fish or shell fish that cooks itself in lime juice. It also has garlic, cilantro, white onion, and tomatoes. It is served cold and is great in the summer. Gazpacho is also very low fat.

where is a website that has nutrition facts and eveything

Ingredients:

4 corn tortillas
4 eggs
2 green onions, minced
3/4 to 1 cup canola oil
1/4 cup diced Chile Ortega
1 cup cheese, shredded, cheddar, Monterey jack, or any other you like

Heat the canola oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Slice the tortillas into strips (1/2 inch by 2 inches) and place in the hot oil to fry. Cook the tortillas until they become crispy and slightly browned.

Drain the oil from the pan. Scramble the eggs and pour into the frying pan on top of the tortillas. Add the rest of the ingredients by sprinkling them over the eggs.

Cook over medium heat, turning the eggs until they are cooked through.

Serve with salsa and some delicious Mexican hot chocolate and enjoy! This Mexican breakfast recipe will serve 2 to 3 people.
