What are some healthy, really easy to make meals?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Easy Mexican Food Recipes

Im 13 and I switch back and forth between my parents. At my moms, I guess we eat pretty healthy. I suppose… But at my dads, alls he can make is mexican food and pasta! Oh and toast. So we usually eat a lot of fast food. So I guess I’m going to start making dinner but I need really simple recipes that dont require a lot of ingridients! Thanks!

does your dad own a rice cooker/vegetable steamer? this can help in preparing fast easy meals. also ask your dad to take you shopping to stock up his pantry on food that you would need while you are there. here is a short list of things you may want to consider to keep on hand for healthy snacks
nuts
humus
pita pockets
peanut butter
applesauce
yogurt
frozen pretzels
as far as recipes go give these a try:
grill or pan fry sausage links, serve with sauteed onions peppers and mushrooms and a side of steamed rice or baked potato
have breakfast for dinner make some home fries pan fry ham and scrambled eggs.
have salad… chop up romaine lettuce, tomatoes cucumbers, onions whatever veges you prefer and serve with grilled chicken. you can marinate the chicken in Italian dressing the day before and grill it up. you can serve this cold or hot.
if i think of anything else i will post… good luck:)

Brown a pound of ground beef and drain. Add a can of tomato soup and a can of drained cut green beans and stir. Put in a casserole dish and top with mashed potatoes (fresh or instant), and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Top with shredded cheese and serve.

You can add diced onion and green pepper if you like it to the ground beef while cooking it. Fast, easy, and tastes great.

Any thing using ground beef or ground turkey can be really easy! My fav is Mostacolli Bake!

    1 package mostaciolli noodles
1lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
    1 can diced tomatoes
    2 jars spaghetti sauce
    1 cup shredded motz cheese
1 14-16oz container cottage cheese (you can use ricotta cheese too but I think the cottage cheese makes it more moist)
    1 tsp garlic salt
    3 eggs-beaten

    Directions:

Cook noodles until done. Cook ground beef (or ground turkey) until done. In a large pot, mix together the noodles, ground beef, diced tomatoes (undrained), 1 jar spaghetti sauce, 1/2 cup cheese, cottage cheese and garlic salt. Once mixed, add in the beaten eggs and stir again. Poor into a large casserole dish sprayed with Pam. Pour other jar of spaghetti sauce over top and spread evenly. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until warm and bubbly throughout.

Another good recipe is tatertot casserole

    *1 lb ground beef
    *1 bag frozen tatertots
*1 can french style green beans
*1 can cream of mushroom soup
    *ketchup

Brown ground beef till done. Mix in can of soup and stir. Put at bottom of baking dish. Pour can of drained green beans over top. Then lay tatertots in single layer over top of that. Bake at 350 for about 35 mins till tatertots are golden brown. Serve with ketchup on the side!

Preheat the oven to 350. put 2 chicken breast, 1 cup of water and a spoonful of butter in a glass dish and cover it. put some salt and pepper over the chicken and cook for half hour to 40 minutes.
Peel some potatoes and carrots and boil it (put some salt in the water) till it gets soft 15-30 minutes. Then drain the potatoes and carrots, put some butter in it and get the chicken.
Chicken breast with potatoes and carrots, my favorite. Good luck!
