What are some simple recipes for spicy food?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Easy Mexican Food Recipes

I need to make some spicy food, but I have to do it on a school night so I need it to pretty low maintenance. Spicy rice dishes? Chicken and rice? Curry? Mexican? Italian? I have no idea. As long as it is easy to make and requires relatively small amounts of prep time.

I’ve got a bunch of spicy recipes on my web site. Some are easy, and some take a fair amount of time.

Butt Kickin’ Blacken contains neither slat nor sugar. You can substitute a different blacken in these recipes but they will taste slightly different and you’ll have to adjust for the amount of salt that most of the "store bought" types have as a filler.

I like this spicy chicken stir fry recipe. It’s easy and tasty. Of course, you can add more red pepper flakes if you want.

    •2 tsp peanut oil
    •1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
•2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut to bit size pieces.
    •1/3 cup asparagus tips
    •1/3 cup thinly sliced carrots
•1/4 medium onion cut into strips
    •1/3 cup frozen snow peas
    •2 Tbsp sliced almonds
•2 tsp reduced sodium soy sauce

Combine peanut oil and red pepper flakes in a medium-hot skillet.

Add chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir frequently.

Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Stir often.

Serve over rice This makes one serving.
