What would be a healthy choice of food at a mexican restaurant?
Posted by: admin / Category: Healthy Mexican Food
In a mexican restaurant, what would be the best low calorie choice?
Anything that doesn't have a lot of cheese, sour cream, or guacamole, in it. And yes, chicken is a healthier option than ground beef.
The mexican restaurant by me uses only white meat chicken – yum! Not that greasy dark meat stuff.

You could ask for a taco salad with grilled chicken, salsa, lettuce, etc., just don't eat too many of the chips (they're high in fat). Good luck!

One would think it was for the fresh ingredients, cause it's certainly not for the heavy starches.

Chicken fajitas, ask for corn tortillas instead of flour. Get bean soup instead of refried beans. stay away of the chips, queso, sour cream, flour tortillas, and cheese. If you drink, margaritas are loaded with calories so dont get one if you really want a low calorie meal. Stick with grilled chicken dishes that dont have a lot of cheese or sour cream sauces. If you have to just eat half of it and take the rest home, its better to eat more small meals than one big one anyway.
