I want to boil some chicken for some mexican tacos what spices should I add to the boiling water?

If you have a pressure cooker, use it and it will shred your chicken for you.

I like to chop and onion and garlic, and add salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder and cook it in chicken stock. (Alternately you could use Lawry's season salt–but it doesn't have enough chili powder or cumin).

Garlic, Cumin, Salt, Pepper. You may also want to add a little bit of Chipotle pepper for some heat (I always do). This is what I use for filling chicken burritos or tamales. If you don't use much water, you can let it evaporate at the end of cooking instead of wasting all that good flavor.

    Enjoy!

    Add the below:
    salt to taste
    Garlic
    Ginger
    Black Pepper
    Cumin
    coriander leaves (gives wonderful flavor)
    white onions
you can use green chilies, but i would suggest red chilli powder for tacos
If you want to, you can also add Bay Leaves to the boiling water

Don't add the spices to the water….not much of them will get into the chicken. Just boil the chicken with an onion and some salt in the water. When it is done, let it cool and take the meat off and shred it. After that, you can add a package of taco seasoning and mix that in….you are good to go.
