How to make Mexican restaurant white cheese dip (queso)?
Posted by: admin / Category: Mexican Dip
I have tried and tired to make this to taste like what you get in Mexican places. I have used several recipes from the internet but nothing tastes like the queso at any restaurant we go to. Please don't waste my time with answers if you truly do not know.
Thanks in advance,
I believe you are looking for mexican melting cheese… I believe you can get it in stores, have you gone to an actual restaurant that has it? They might tell you how they did it! Also Queso means literally CHEESE in spanish, so every cheese will be Queso. All recipes will be different so remember that. I know the sauce you are talking about.

The only place I have found the white cheese that is like Velveeta is at HEB. I live in Texas so I don't know if you have those where you are.

Try one 1lb. block of velveeta and two can's of Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies. It is more of a yellow color than you will find in Mexican resteraunts, but I have received more compliments on it than the recipe they use. If you want it hotter, you can use Extra Hot Ro-Tel.

You ought to ask someone at the restaurant that you go to. The mexican restaurant that we go to has the best white queso that I've ever had. I asked the owner what it was. She told me the name of the cheese, I don't remember it, but she said that it was only sold in Mexico and we couldn't get in the U.S.
