Festive, easy, cheap, Mexican drink while eating tacos and watching Lost?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Mexican Drinks

What’s a festive (preferably Mexican, but tropical would be OK) drink that I can make for taco night this evening while I watch the season finale of Lost?
I thought of Mojitos and margaritas, but I want something else…and it has to be fairly easy/quick to make. Alcoholic or not- doesn’t matter.

well if you have a Rosa Cafe then I recommend there since you can get a large meal for only three dollars and free tortillas with honey or sauce

    Tequila sunrise…..

Orange juice and tequila mixed, then drizzle a little cherry juice on top. It’s quick and delicious!

Sangria! You can make it with anywine, but i prefer red. Pour a bottleof red wine (shiraz is good) into a punch bowl and add 2 cups ginger ale, you may want to add a shot of brandy, and sliced lemons, oranges, apples and cherries if you want. chill then serve, with or without ice. You can add like a tbs of sugar if it isnt sweet enough

My ideas would be a mango iced tea, or why not go with the traditional margaritas and jazz them up? You could add any type of fruit you like once you have your base.

Outside of the tequila they don’t have to be expensive, just use frozen limeade concentrate as your triplesec and lime/sour mix.

I made some with peach and rasberry that were quite good, strawberry are always a big hit too.

Tequila–straight out of the bottle! If you sip it and don’t overdo it, it goes quite well with food. Tecate beer, a relatively watery brew on a par with American beer, is compatible as a chaser… Err, actually the other way around.

Horchata is mexican drink. (non-alcoholic). You wouldn’t have time to make it but if you went to a mexican restaurant you could buy some. It looks like milk. Its actually rice water. It sounds nasty but I think you would actually like it. It tastes sweet, it has cinnamon in it.

Idk, how about pina coladas or strawberry daiquiris?
