I would like to know what do Mexicans drink after a meal. I know which are Mexican aperitif drinks, but I don’t know which are digestif ones? Anybody?
Rather than copy Wikipedia, which is shady at best, I’ll just tell you. Before eating we usually have tequila, scotch or a rum (or brandy) and cola. After dinner it could be more tequila, perhaps an aƱejo (ancient)tequila-those tend to be heavier and are often slightly sweet. Other popular after dinner drinks are Frangelico, Irish cream, more rum or brandy with cola, rompope (a cream and egg liqueur reminiscent of eggnog) and among older people an herb liqueur called 43 or an anisette.
