how to make mexican food?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Mexican Food Recipes

my boyfriend is mexican (he’s from Guadalajara) and i want to suprise him with a traditional mexican meal…. the only problem is i don’t know what to make…..any ideas?

Below there are some traditional recipe ideas that are not too complicated. Be sure to serve any Mexican meal with tortillas that you warm by putting them in the micro for just a few secs while wrapped in a damp(not wet) dish towel. Or you can put them in foil and heat them in the oven. Serve them wrapped in a dishtowel in a basket on the table.
If you can’t find fresh mango for the salad, you can use canned mango, it comes in glass bottles.
The soups should be served with little bowls of limes cut in half, chopped cilantro and chopped green onion and a liquid type bottled hot sauce. A really tasty hot sauce that is available in stores is "El Tapatio" It is made in Guadalajara. Buen provecho ( enjoy your meal)

get some discos they are orange disks in a plastic rapper they should be frozen so you make hambuger meat mixed with sazon seasoning, cheese, small choped potatoes, and whatever sounds good to you then you spread some of that mix on the thawed disco coat the edges with a little water then fold in half and press edges with a fork then you deep fry until crisp

I don’t know how to make it, but living in southern Texas, you learn what "real" Mexican food is. Try making chicken with mole (MOE-lay) sauce, carne guisado, which is essentially Mexican beef stew or cabrito, which is braised goat meat.

Buy some frozen beef burritos,a can of enchilada sauce, shredded cheese, black olives and an onion.

spray a glass dish with Pam or the like. Place burritos in the dish neatly, pour enchilada sauce over every burrito, top with shredded cheese, chopped olives and onion and bake at 350 til bubbly throughout about 40 – 50 minutes.

Serve with refried beans, and you’re looking like a pro without the mad skills. =)

Make him some pozole or tostadas. If you google them you should get easy recipes. Just dont buy anything frozen or from a Mexican restaurant that is not authentic.
