Does couscous go with mexican food?

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Mexican Food

Im making enchiladas tonite and was wondering if couscous would be a good substitute for rice. I know it’s not exactly a mexican food, but would it work? Thanks!

Couscous would be an excellent alternative to rice, especially with enchiladas, because couscous is traditionally served with spicy, meaty dishes. Couscous is simiar to rice in structure, so go different and try couscous this once.

Since couscous is like a rice or pasta, it will go well with most any kind of food. I’m sure it’ll be great with Mexican.

Its not classic mexican, but my daughter loves cous cous with bean and cheese burittos or tacos. Just use some mexican seasonings-like cumin, and hot sauce to flavor the cous cous. Hope it turns out well

Mabey if you added some chilli powder and a few cloves of garlic, but over all couscous is a more sophistocated flavor.
