Agua de Jamaica
A non-alcoholic drink from Mexico made with jamaica flowers. Makes: 5 -6 1 cup servings
I N G R E D I E N T S
2 cups (2 ounces) jamaica flowers (Hibiscus flowers)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (or more as desired)
I N S T R U C T I O N S
Bring 6 cups of water to a boil then add the flowers and the sugar and stir continuously while the mixture boils for one minute. Pour into a noncorrosive bowl and steep for 2 hours. *Note: this flower will stain so don’t use a bowl that will stain
Finish:
Strain the mixture through a sieve pressing on the flower solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Taste for strength and sweetness. If it is too potent, add water or if too tart add more sugar. Cover and refrigerate until time to serve

mexican hot chocolate. you can buy it premade, or you can make your own. You make it like regular hot chocolate, but you add a little cinnamon to it. Or, a little allspice is good too.

champurrado drink. you can buy it just like a koolaid mix at a mexican store. Horchata is excellent and is also found like the koolaid mix. Jamaica, and Jarritos already come in a clear bottle or 2 liter bottle

Agua De Horchata is a delicious drink made from rice water
Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1 stick cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
Sugar (to taste)
2 tbsp powder cinnamon
water
1 can condensed milk
Directions:
1. Boil water with rice for 5min
2. In a 2L container add evaporate milk and strain the previously boiled water without the rice
3. Mix rice in blender with cinnamon sticks and vanilla extract
4. Strain rice and add sugar to taste
